I’m a silly tomboyish girl who draws dogs and cats for profit! I found furry as I was looking to make a mascot costume and came across some furry artist’s websites. I believe Jax the Bat was the first one I stumbled across.

I realized other people were drawing animal people like me and found out that some of the same people were also making mascot costumes, which at the time I was also getting interested in because I wanted to get a job at Chuck E. Cheese’s as the mascot, so I was hooked from then on. I never did get the job but I found furry; I gained a wealth of riends and earned some money on the side. Not bad!

Before this I was role playing on Marika’s Return, a Lion King RPG board that I found through fanart.lionking.org, a place I had been putting up art for. Like many furries, The Lion King was a big inspiration in my artwork. That’s how I started out drawing quad drawings and then branched out to draw other animals in both quad style and in anthropomorphic style, walking on two legs.

My fursona is a German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix, as most of my life I’ve had a dog around me, most mutts - hence my “last name” and was inspired by Charlie Barkin, the lead German Shepherd character in All Dogs Go To Heaven. Charlie is my favorite cartoon movie character, I always thought that his personality and character traits were so ndearing, a street-wise con artist who actually has a heart for a young girl.

Thanks to furry, I also have my awesome boyfriend Greypaws, whom I love dearly and have been with for three years now. We’re pretty much in-seperable at the cons so if you see me, you’ll see him and vice versa ;)

I have never had any formal art training; I’m mostly self-taught. I learn through trial and error and from tutorials online. Although I probably will eventally go and take some sort of classes eventually so I can get even better.
